Personality answers:
1: Explain which event in canon is most pivotal to your character's development, and who they are today.
Though the Sedition of Imbibitor Lunae might be the most explosive moment of Dan Feng's life, I think that it was joining the High Cloud Quintet that was indeed the most pivotal moment to his development. Before then, he was a cold and distant person, he did not know the warmth of real companionship, nor the closeness of friends - he knew only his duty as the High Elder and little else. For all of his great power, Dan Feng was never really treated like a person with feelings of his own, before he met the others.
Though he retained much of his cool and aloof demeanor, Dan Feng warmed considerably, his icy heart melting for those he was loyal to. They taught him how to be a person, how to love, they respected him and saw beneath the chilly veneer that he wore like an armor. They knew that he had a heart, had real emotions. He was fiercely devoted to each and every one of them, to the point that the loss of one was enough to drive him to commit a great sin against his people, in order to attempt to resurrect her. This transgression was something that he paid for the rest of his life.
2: What does your character think about physical appearances? Are they the sort to meticulously primp themselves, or could they not care less?
Interestingly enough, Dan Feng's physical appearance is not the one he was born with. Every new High Elder has their features slowly transformed to become identical to those of the first Imbibitor Lunae, and Dan Feng is no different. So one can imagine that his sense of identity and his relationship with physical appearance is a little strange, as the face he wears is not necessarily his own.
Even still, he puts a great amount of importance on appearances. He was always expected to appear a certain way, without a hair out of place, so he is very finicky about how he looks and dresses at all times. When one holds an office of such esteem and prestige, one must always convey themselves properly, and he is rarely, if ever, seen disheveled.
3: What is your character most afraid of?
Dan Feng's greatest fear is being alone - ironic, considering his great sin led to isolated imprisonment for innumerable years. He was very attached to the other members of the High Cloud Quintet, spent his free time with them, drank with them, laughed with them. They were the only people in the entire universe that knew Dan Feng the man, the only people whom he could let down his guard with, and there was nothing that he would not sacrifice for them.
Deep loneliness was more of a punishment to him than his imprisonment and torture had been, the fear of losing someone so dear to him enough to drive him to commit an unpardonable sin. When donning the skin of the dragon blunted his empathy, Dan Feng would anchor himself to his companions in order to keep himself sane and focused, and being without them is his true torment.
4: What is your character's biggest ambition at their current canon point? To what lengths would they go to see it to fruition?
At this moment, after being freed from his imprisonment, Dan Feng's greatest ambition would be to make up for the disaster that he brought about, in whatever way he is able to. Many of his people were lost during the Sedition, when his ritual failed and produced a bloodthirsty beast, and the weight of those losses weighs heavy on his soul. For all that he may have been haughty, headstrong and proud, Dan Feng loved his people, was devoted to them, and having been the cause of death for so many (when the Vidyadhara are already a dwindling species) is his greatest shame.
To say that he would go to great lengths to help them would be a grand understatement. Dan Feng has already demonstrated how far he is willing to go for the people he cares for, so there is little that he would not personally sacrifice to help the Vidyadhara's plight. More specifically, before his downfall he was very interested in restoring his people to a natural cycle of reproduction, and this is not a goal that he has forgotten. Should he be able to, Dan Feng would like to give this back to them in some way, to begin to make up for his egregious transgression.
Inventory: His crafted bracer, and his spear (Cloudpiercer)
Powers/Abilities: Dan Feng is able to wield devastating Cloudhymn magic. All Vidyadhara are capable of using it to an extent, some more than others, but as the current Imbibitor Lunae, Dan Feng is more powerful than most, nearing godlike capability. His power in battle is devastating, as he is able to create tidal waves that can swallow entire battlegrounds with little effort, capable of summoning, commanding, and manipulating water.
He is also notably a very powerful cloudhymn healer as well, possessing legendary restorative abilities.
Lastly, Dan Feng is capable of turning into a dragon, an ability granted to him by way of being the High Elder of his people. While incredibly powerful in this form, it notably dulls his empathy during the course of the transformation. I understand that he may need a nerf!

Goals: Dan Feng is a character that I have wanted to play in a game setting for a very long time! I'd love to work on his myriad issues with identity and duty, while also wrestling with the obvious weight of his great sin. He is historically prickly, so I look forward to getting him better socialized, and while he did have a close-knit group of companions before his imprisonment, he does not allow people into his heart easily, most especially now. I also look forward to the physical aspect of everything, dealing with the invasive natural soul that he now carries.
Soul Choice: Reptilia!
