Dan Feng is coming from the game Karteria, where he has been for around eight months now. This game sees characters brought from their home worlds in order to become "Augmented", where they are granted a second soul (the soul of a living creature of some kind) by a company called Patho-Gen, that gives them the attributes of whatever this soul embodies, as well as an increased ability to withstand arcane radiation, which is a mechanic in Karteria's world. This soul is contained into an Augmenter, which is embedded into the neck of the Augmented. Dan Feng's soul is reptilian, a combination of snake and crocodile.

While in Karteria, Dan Feng has both suffered and made strides, assisting the people of the world with his healing and cloudhymn abilities, while also getting to know his fellow Augmented, and dodging Patho-Gen's schemes. Over time, he has slowly begun to open up to the people around him, though this has taken some time, given his personality, and the fact that a few of those he has grown close with have disappeared. Notably, Dan Feng has struggled to learn how to live like a "normal" person - that is, doing chores and cooking for himself, domestic things that he was never taught and never needed to do for himself, given his previous lifestyle.

He has learned, somewhat at least, how to be more of a person than he had been given the opportunity to be before, though he has accidentally broken many appliances in the interim time. He has more appreciation for these things now, even if he is still a bit snooty about having to do them - it has also been empowering, to learn to be more self-sufficient. His most notable achievements have been growing tea plants for placement in a farm, and opening his own healing clinic for the people of Karteria, both average and Augmented.

The difference between his canon self and his CRAU self is not a wide gulf, he is long lived and not easy to change, but Dan Feng has noticeably softened to others. He has been humbled in many ways, and learned to be a more independent person, even if he still struggles to debase himself by cleaning a bathroom. He has not changed drastically, but baby steps have been taken to better himself.

CRAU powers:

Dan Feng has not gained powers so much as attributes - his body is noticeably more reptilian than it had been before, bearing many more scales, a long forked tongue, occasionally slit pupils, and a long, serpentine tail. He also has difficulty regulating his body heat, can sustain himself on fewer (large) meals, and is able to hold his breath for prolonged amounts of time. There is a preternatural, predatory sort of stillness about him sometimes, he can be territorial, and, topical to Decadia, goes through mating cycles. He is also able to produce venom in the form of a poison breath, and secreted from a pair of long snake's fangs that descend from his gums when aggressive.

What is the wish your character made? Why did they make it?

Dan Feng's wish is to harness the power of immortality and resurrection without physical or mental drawbacks. Where he comes from, long life species (aside from his own) are afflicted with Mara once they reach a certain age, which results in madness and memory degradation, and resurrection is strictly prohibited. He attempted it anyway, to great disaster, but given the chance he would certainly do it again, but better, with more knowledge and ability, granting long life to those he cares for without consequence.

He made this wish because it is the closest to his heart. Dan Feng is incredibly devoted to the people that he cherishes, to the point that there is nothing that he would not sacrifice for them, if it meant keeping them safe and alive. He is famously terrible at dealing with grief, and would instead prefer to take matters into his own hands if possible. There is no sacrifice too great to achieve this goal, even if it means debasing himself in front of the masses for their entertainment.

His found family is everything to him, and he would give everything for their continued safety and happiness. This includes his people, the Vidyadhara, as well, though extends mostly to his closest companions.

How will your character initially react to Decadia's setting?

Considering the fact that Dan Feng did not expect to be alive to begin with - or at least, alive as himself - he will take decently well to Decadia's setting. After all, if the granting of his wish is indeed possible, he is content to play along.

As for all the glitz and glamour - that is very familiar to him, however garish it is in comparison to what he is accustomed to. As the spiritual leader of his people, Dan Feng was held in extremely high regard, and expected to behave in the ways that a very prominent public figure should. Along with this, he was also very pampered and spoiled as he grew up, so he is very much accustomed to a more lavish lifestyle, as well as being treated more like an object than a real person with feelings and thoughts of his own.

So, despite it all, he will acclimate well and without much issue, especially considering that other planets or reality-scapes are a common occurrence where he comes from, so he won't be particularly shocked. Mostly he will be quite curious about how they managed to pull him from what was essentially his "death", to instead bring him here and offer him a profound wish.


What are you most interested in doing with your character in Decadia?

Unsurprisingly, I am most interested in writing smut with this character, but there are many aspects of the game that I look forward to in general. He is one of my favorite characters, and certainly my favorite from the canon itself, so I very much enjoy playing him in a game setting in general, and Decadia's premise is very interesting to me.

That said, smut aside, Dan Feng is a prickly individual, and it isn't easy for him to make close connections, so I look forward to forging new cr bonds with him - hopefully ones that transcend the simple physical, and step into something deeper. Given the way that he was raised, and how he was treated by even his own people - as a god's avatar, a hero, a chess piece, someone to be revered, manipulated, or controlled - Dan Feng is not an easy man to grow close to. In many ways, he is cold and standoffish, slow to trust and emotionally stunted, so I'm very interested in seeing how his CR develops.

I'm also looking forward to pushing and testing his boundaries, to see how far he is willing to go for his wish. In canon, he was ready and willing to give up anything and everything for the people he had grown to love, even if it meant sacrificing his freedom and going against the very fundamental laws of his home and his people. It will be exciting and interesting to see where this takes him in Decadia.

What aspect of sex appeals to your character the most?

Dan Feng is a funny creature, when it comes to sex, his moods fleeting and mercurial. Some days he is not at all interested in sex, others he is insatiable. Given that he is connected with the moon, as the Imbibitor Lunae, I enjoy headcanoning that his libido waxes and wanes with the phases of the moon, but I'm happy to leave that out in Decadia, if that is not an acceptable headcanon to the mods.

As for what appeals to him specifically, Dan Feng does enjoy being given special attention. He is a proud creature, and while imprisonment has humbled that side of him a little bit more, he is also a product of his upbringing, and still believes that he is deserving of such adulations. Or at the very least, it is so ingrained in him that he's simply accustomed to being treated a certain way.

That said, he also very much enjoys spoiling those that he comes to care for - in many ways, yes, but this would extend to the physical as well. Bringing them pleasure would be extremely satisfying to him, most especially once he's very close with someone. So "worship" would certainly be the aspect of sex that would appeal to him the most.


What kinks does your character have, known or unknown to them? Why do they have those particular kinks?

As mentioned above, "worship" is absolutely one of Dan Feng's most clear and defensible kinks, both receiving and giving. He will shower his close ones with attention, and very much enjoy being pampered in return. This goes hand in hand with something of a voyeuristic kink as well, especially when he is the one being viewed. Though this is a conflicting feeling for him, given how many people in his life have looked to him as nothing more than an avatar of Long, a figurehead to be revered, he also does enjoy the attention, and feels that it is his right to receive.

Breeding is also a bit of a kink of his, though he may not entirely know it yet. Vidyadhara are sterile, having lost the ability to reproduce naturally a long, long time ago, and restoring his people to a regular cycle of reproduction is something of a passion of his. The idea of being able to help to create life is fascinating and exciting to him.

Another kink of his would be control, be it him in command of another person, or another - someone trusted - to be in command of him. He's a bit of a snob, and very fussy, so there's an element of brat taming to this as well. Given how many people attempted to control him during his lifetime, giving up his agency to another would be a sign of trust. On the flip side, it comes naturally to him to be a commanding presence.

Lastly, physical grooming is also very appealing to him - bathing together (Vidyadhara have a profound connection to water), combing hair, washing one another - these are all very intimate acts for him that he would enjoy experiencing with his partners.

Anything else? It's in his permissions, but I tend to give Dan Feng more reptilian anatomy - a vent slit that houses two cocks. He is also capable of shapeshifting, however, so for partners uncomfortable with this, he is able to appear more human.
