we had some animals in the community where i grew up but they weren't "pets" exactly... they didn't belong to anybody, we all just helped take care of them

- watched a tiktok about a lady waking up her deaf cat by holding her hand in front of its face to let it smell her, and one of the comments said "it breaks my heart to know that she'll never hear you say 'hi darling' in that voice"

i was watching a video where a family unexpectedly lost their farm dog so the wife got a blue heeler puppy for her husband and when he opened the box he immediately started bawling and sat down on the floor and hugged the puppy

it was game over for my hormones
